Tis the Season to Glow
How many fairy lights do I need for a Christmas tree?
A standard 10m, 100 LED set covers most trees comfortably. For a larger tree or a fuller wrap, our Ultimate Fairy Lights connect end to end, so you can combine sets for extra coverage without needing a second plug point.
Should I choose the clear cable or dark green cable option for my tree?
Clear cable is nearly invisible against branches and ornaments during the day, ideal for an indoor or artificial tree where you want the lights to disappear until dusk. Dark green cable blends into real foliage, so it suits an actual fir tree or an outdoor garden tree better.
What's the difference between warm white and multicolour fairy lights for Christmas?
Warm white gives a classic, cosy glow that suits most home displays and works well mixed with traditional decorations. Multicolour leans more festive and playful, a popular choice for a tree aimed at kids or a full holiday party setup.
Can I use the same fairy lights indoors and outdoors?
It depends on the rating. Our IP66 Ultimate Fairy Lights are built for full outdoor exposure and work just as well indoors, so if you're not sure where they'll end up, that's the safer choice. Standard indoor fairy lights aren't rated for outdoor weather, so keep those inside.
