So you have decided to buy a set/s of our lights and now you have the fun task of having to set them up in your home, restaurant or venue.

Most of our string lighting, with its easy-to-clip hooks and versatile design, offers endless possibilities for lighting up your garden, patio, or any outdoor or indoor area. Whether you opt for plug-in or solar-powered lights, we’ll walk you through the steps to create a captivating atmosphere that will leave your guests in awe.

Before you begin, decide whether you prefer Plug-in or Solar lights.

If you have chosen the plug-in lights and choose to use them outdoors, ensure that the plug points are safely covered and protected from weather conditions. All our lights, both plug-in and solar are designed weatherproof and shatterproof, making them perfect for outdoor use, and allowing you to create a seamless lighting display without worrying about weather issues.

When setting your lights up, you can take advantage of the natural features in your outdoor space to support your festoon lights. Whether it’s a beautiful tree in your garden or a charming ledge on your patio, wrapping lights around branches or draping them along shelves can enhance the natural beauty of your surroundings. When you don’t have these natural structures, we recommend using cup hooks which can be drilled or hammered into the wall, ceiling or wooden panels. We set up our Stellar Lighting Warm White 10m String Lights at the lovely Peregrine Farm Stall and we were instructed to put them up under their gazebo. So we decided to make use of the poles that held the tent up and we wrapped the lights around the pole but to ensure that it stayed up, we secured them with cable ties and TA-DA worked like a charm!

If you’ve chosen to purchase our solar-powered lights, ensure that the solar panel receives ample sunlight throughout the day for optimal charging. The solar panel has to be turned ON for it to charge and then when the night comes, it will turn on automatically. You can easily adjust the position of the solar panel to maximize exposure to sunlight as they are detachable. If you feel that finding a spot to charge them is difficult then you can utilise the USB-C charging point for added convenience.

So, you have the plug-in lights and you’ve bought more than one set? Great! Now you’re able to light up a big space very well! To connect the lights, you need to unscrew the cap off the end of the cord and grab the other end off the next set of lights and screw them in together. It’s that simple!
